About Command Tools
Minecraft commands change frequently. Item components replaced much of the old item NBT syntax in Java 1.20.5, while Bedrock continues to use a different command grammar. This collection keeps the edition and version choice visible so you can build a command for the world or server where it will actually run.
Use the visual generators when you want a valid command without memorizing brackets, selectors and component names. The output remains editable, so advanced users can copy it into a command block, function file or server console and continue refining it by hand.
Which command tool should I use?
/give and NBT migration
Create items with components, names and enchantments, or convert an older pre-1.20.5 item command to modern component syntax.
/summon and spawners
Configure an entity, position and supported properties, or build a mob spawner command with its timing and spawn rules.
Effects and particles
Prepare readable effect and particle commands for maps, events, testing and command-block sequences.
Practical workflow
A safer command-building workflow
1. Choose the correct edition first
Java and Bedrock commands can look similar while accepting different fields. Set the target edition and game version before choosing items, entities or effects.
2. Build and inspect the output
Use the controls to create the command, then read the generated syntax. Namespaced IDs such as minecraft:stone should remain unchanged.
3. Test in a disposable world
Run complex summon, particle and spawner commands in a backup or creative test world before using them on a live map.
Command tools FAQ
Do these commands work in both Java and Bedrock?
Only when the selected tool explicitly offers both editions. Java and Bedrock syntax is not interchangeable, so always use the edition selector shown by the generator.
Why does an old NBT command fail in a new Java version?
Java 1.20.5 moved item data from the old item NBT form to item components. Use the NBT to Components converter or rebuild the item in the current /give generator.
Can I use the output in a datapack function?
Yes. Remove the leading slash when a function file expects command text without it, and test the function on the same Minecraft version selected in the tool.
