Firework Designer: Event Shows & Elytra Fuel
Use modern item components for Java 26.x and every release from 1.20.5 onward. Switch to legacy NBT for Java 1.13 through 1.20.4.
Multi-Layer Explosions
Stack multiple firework stars in a single rocket. Each layer can have its own shape, primary colors and fade palette, creating a multi-stage display from one rocket.
Elytra Flight Fuel
Remove every explosion layer to make a plain Elytra rocket. Flight Duration 3 provides the longest boost from one rocket, while Flight Duration 1 costs less gunpowder and is easier to control.
Accurate Survival Recipe Check
The checklist counts paper, rocket fuel, star gunpowder, primary and fade dyes, shape modifiers, diamonds and glowstone dust. It also detects when a design needs more slots than a survival crafting grid provides.
Fireworks FAQ
What is the best flight duration for Elytra?
Flight Duration 3 gives the longest single boost, but it also uses three gunpowder. Flight Duration 1 is cheaper and easier to control. Always remove explosion stars from Elytra rockets because explosions can damage the player.
Can I stack multiple explosions in one rocket?
Yes. Our studio lets you add multiple Firework Star layers to a single rocket, each with its own shape, color set, and fade. This creates true multi-stage burst sequences that look spectacular in event shows.
How many colors can a single star use?
A survival Firework Star uses one gunpowder plus its dyes and optional modifiers in a 3 by 3 grid. This allows up to eight dyes only when no shape, Trail or Twinkle modifier is present. Commands are not limited by crafting-grid slots.
What does the Trail effect actually do?
Trail adds a glitter-like spark tail that follows each particle of the explosion as it falls. It gives the burst more visual weight and is perfect for celebratory shows, though it can feel busy in minimalist displays.
What is the difference between Twinkle and Trail?
Trail adds a particle tail during the explosion. Twinkle, crafted with Glowstone Dust, adds a crackling sound and flash as the particles fade.
Does this generate Bedrock Edition commands?
No. Bedrock Edition does not accept Java firework item components or legacy Java NBT in the give command. This generator labels both supported Java command eras explicitly so a Bedrock command is never presented as valid.
